Paper belly bands
A narrow band leaves much of the product visible while creating a space for branding, a product name or a short message. Plan which face the customer sees first and where the seam will sit.
Paper sleeves & belly bands
Custom packaging sleeves are open-ended printed paper bands that wrap around a product or an existing box. Gulupack makes paper sleeves to your dimensions, artwork and presentation needs, from narrow belly bands to wider sleeves that cover most of a pack.

A narrow band leaves much of the product visible while creating a space for branding, a product name or a short message. Plan which face the customer sees first and where the seam will sit.
More coverage provides room for graphics and product information. Check whether the sleeve can slide over the full product without catching on corners, labels or closures.
A printed sleeve can add a campaign or gift message around an existing box. Measure the assembled box, including any lid overhang, rather than using its nominal internal size.
A sleeve that is too loose can slide off; a tight one can buckle, scuff the product or take too long to assemble. Give us the product’s actual cross-section in the intended wrap direction, the desired finished sleeve width and a photograph showing the front face.
Paper thickness, folds, a glued seam and the surface of the product all affect the fit. There is no single clearance suitable for every sleeve. Use a structural sample with the actual product to review sliding resistance, seam placement and whether the sleeve stays in position.
| Decision | What to provide | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Size & orientation | Product or box dimensions, units, wrap direction and band width. | Separates sleeve width from the perimeter around the product. |
| Paper & finish | White printed paperboard, a kraft appearance or a reference sample; coating and finish preferences. | Material thickness, print appearance and friction influence the result. |
| Closure | Pre-glued sleeve or another proposed closure; preferred seam position. | Changes assembly steps and the visible print area. |
| Artwork | Design count, printed sides, important color references and any foil or embossing request. | Clarifies the quotation and production artwork. |
| Order & delivery | Quantity per size/design, delivery country and postcode, target arrival date. | Allows like-for-like manufacturing and freight options. |

Soft or compressible products can change thickness after packing. Review the sleeve on a normal packed product and allow for variation between units. A hanging tab also changes the load on the band and should be reviewed with the actual display method.
Explore sock packaging for sock-specific presentation. This page covers the paper sleeve structure across products and industries.
A paper sleeve has open ends and relies on the product or another box inside it. A drawer box combines an outer sleeve with a sliding tray. If you need both components, specify a complete drawer box so the tray, insert and outer sleeve are designed together.
See custom drawer gift boxes for complete tray-and-sleeve packaging. Folding cartons are another option when you need an enclosing paper box.
A sleeve primarily provides branding and presentation. It leaves the ends exposed and does not replace a suitable shipping outer, cushioning or product-specific transit testing.
Share the quantity for each artwork and size. Different designs, print processes and tooling can change setup requirements; the quotation will confirm how they are treated.
The suitable minimum depends on the size, paper, artwork and production method. Send those details and the quantity you need so we can confirm a project-specific option.
Review a sample for fit, sliding resistance, folding and assembly. Approve the final dieline, artwork version and seam position separately from any screen-only color review.
Tell us what the sleeve wraps around, the band width you want and the quantity per design. A product photo helps us discuss the fit and seam before quoting.
